Is the Cryo T-Shock safe?Yes, the Cryo T-Shock is a safe, non-invasive treatment of adipose tissue to induce lipolysis—the breaking down of fat cells – to reduce body fat without damage to other tissues. It consists of a specially developed technique where warm and cold are used and applied directly to your skin.
-
How does it work? The body contouring treatments last for roughly 30 minutes and are done manually employing a massage technique. The session begins with 2 minutes of heat and then a prolonged period of cold (22-26 minutes) and then back to heat for another 2-3 minutes. The purpose of the treatment is to lower the temperature of the fat cells enough to cause what is known as the phenomenon of apoptosis. This phenomenon is triggered when the temperature of the fat tissue is between 12 and 17 C which causes these cells to die. The cells are then naturally passed through the body’s lymphatic system and excreted through sweat and urine.
-
What are the benefits?Clinical studies have shown that this technology naturally destroys fat cells, but as with most techniques, the results vary from one individual to another. The expected effect is usually rapid: part of the fat cells are destroyed during the session while most will be eliminated within 2 to 3 weeks. It has also been proven to help with microcirculation and a significant increase in collagen due to the thermal shock that is caused by the hot and cold.
-
How does it feel? The 30 - 60 minute treatments are executed manually through a slow massage over the selected area of the body. Each session will begin with clean skin followed by a light gel application. The treatment begins with heat or cold, alternating between the two at varying times and temperatures. It is a non-invasive and painless treatment that feels like a light massage.

Contradictions?Anyone with the conditions below should not do this treatment Kidney disease or dialysis. Pregnant women. Severe diabetes. Undergoing chemotherapy. Dialysis Polyneuropathy Do not treat over Varicose Veins Untreated abdominal hernias No Botox within 2 weeks No Fillers within 4 weeks Combining Treatments Never combine more than one large and small body part for fat freezing as you do not want to overburden the lymphatic system with too many lipids Acceptable: arms/legs, arms/stomach, arms/back, buttocks/legs, Not Acceptable: legs/stomach, legs/back
-
How often can I have the treatments?T-Shock Slimming treatments can be performed once every two weeks and T-Shock Tone treatments can be performed every 2-3 days. T-Shock Slimming causes fat cell apoptosis or cell death of the fat cells alone. Beneficial cells are not affected. The dead cells are evacuated through the lymphatic system and will eventually pass through the kidneys. Waiting every two weeks ensures that the lymphatic system and kidneys are not overloaded.
-
How long do the results last?Depending on the individual and depending also on their lifestyle and diet, the results last several months or several years. For Cellulite and Skin Tightening an ongoing monthly maintenance schedule is recommended.
-
Possible side effects? There are generally no side effects apart from increased urination over several days following the treatment. In very few cases, there was localized redness that disappeared after a few hours and in rare cases, there was local pain that did not exceed 2 to 3 hours. There was some experience of delayed onset muscle soreness from treatments on the stomach due to unintentionally engaging the abdominals, which disappeared later that same day.
-
How quickly will I see results? The first results are generally visible within a week following the first session. However, it should be noted that the best results appear from 15 days to 3 weeks after the start of treatment and extend for several months after the end of treatment.

How does this help with cellulite?CryoToning uses below zero temperatures that penetrate below the skin. Cellulite is caused by subcutaneous deposits of fat primarily in the legs and glutes. The Cryo T-Shock triggers the fluids that bind the fat cells together to crystalize. This crystallization destroys the fat cells and the bonds holding the deposits together. Repeated sessions will slowly take away the upper layers of fat. The cells which have been destroyed enter the bloodstream after which they are disposed of via the lymphatic system.
